Irish designer Joanna Fennell's passion for jewellery began in 1999 when she first visited the silver-mining town of Taxco in central Mexico. Subsequent assignments in South Africa and Sri Lanka enhanced her understanding of these ancient gifts, providing a deep and personal insight into the hypnotic world of semi- precious gems.

Applying her design skills to an expansive collection of stones and silver collected from across the world, she has created a unique and highly acclaimed range of jewellery. The initial "word of mouth" market of friends and acquaintances has proved so successful that stalls bearing her creations are now springing up at markets and fairs across Ireland. Her jewellery will soon be available in several of Ireland's leading fashion and accessory stores.

What differentiates Joanna's jewellery from others is the diversity of its origins. Sourced from the Red Sea to the Ural Mountains, from the Kingdom of Kandy to Kimberley veldt, she has gathered the ancient and crafted it into the contemporary.
